The urban development scheme looked at various levels of integrations centered around pedestrians. The context having the Barapullah river in the west, Sarai Kale Khan slum in the north, the Ring Road in the South and Metro and RRTS terminals in the east became major drivers for concept generation. The building program consisting of a Bus Terminal, Offices, EWS housing, Retail and Hotels posed various challenges and raised dialogue on how they could be integrated into the public realm. The concept explores a multilevel bus terminal, which allowed for increased integration with retail , reducing footprint of the bus terminal allowing more area for revenue generating activities and pedestrian activities. Using retail activities as a threshold between various typologies resulted in active, safe and inclusive streets. Public and private spaces are integrated by creating a hierarchy of spaces with varied street  characters. The EWS units are integrated by creating multilevel walk-up clusters encouraging increased interaction amongst residences.
